Laundry on Tuesday was an adventure in creativity, crisis management and unwavering love in action. Our team has seen a lot - especially in the last 16 months - but we all have noticed the level of mental, emotional and physical exhaustion our neighbors are experiencing is at an all time high. One neighbor seemed in particularly rough shape so we made a place for him to sit and gave him water and Liquid IV. We learned that in addition to what appeared to be heat stroke, he wa
Have you ever celebrated Mardi Gras in a laundromat? ⚜️We have! And in case you’re wondering, it totally works. A near endless supply of Mardi Gras beads and blow horns, hot soup, Rice Krispies Treats, and cookies kept us smiling while we washed and dried 1,400 pounds of laundry and visited with 17 families last night.❤️ We started setting up the resource table, went to grab another load from the car, and returned to find boxes of Chapstick, cough drops, Band-Aids, travel-siz
A fun Birthday 🎂 Party for LoveOne Milwaukie. We loved on 31 Neighbors and did 3,390 pounds of Laundry. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make that possible, Milwaukie Grocery Outlet for your generous donation, and to the Clackamas Sunrise Interact Club. #LoveOne #TheStory #CleanClothes #Dignity
Additional storage containers were needed before the resource room at OCHS could receive Annalyn's Birthday Bag donations. So what did our very own Super Woman/Board Member Carol Drudis-Swainson do? She took measurements, secured a donation to cover the cost of the storage containers, and delivered them to OCHS ready to go! Carol, you are amazing and we ❤️ you. And Annalyn, you've inspired a lot of people to do good. Keep at it, friend. 😊 #LoveOne #LoveOneOC #CourageKindness

Tonight was not our usual laundry event. Last week the owner of Carousel asked us to cancel events until she has more equipment in service. We don't know if repairs have been scheduled or when we might be able to resume events at Carousel. We will let you know as soon as we have more information. Although we couldn't do laundry for our neighbors in need, we showed up to provide personal care resources, hot drinks, and human connection. Did you know that you can make someone's

❤️Tuesday night was laundry night and true to form, it brought us new neighbors and opportunities to meet new needs. We had the opportunity to assist a single mom and her kids, currently living in their car, with laundry and supplies - and also connect them with additional community resources. We helped family members wash sleeping bags, pillows, and clothing belonging to loved ones living on the street. We made sure a college student, scrambling to make ends meet, left with

Last night we did a lot of laundry (almost 1,300 pounds!), met new people, and had a blast working with members of the Clackamas Community College Student Nursing Association. CCCSNA chose Laundry Love as their Spring philanthropic event and not only provided the funds to wash and dry all that laundry, but sent volunteers to help out! 🙌 One of our patrons even brought roses for the volunteers.🌹 To our fantastic volunteer Heather Heikkila, we will miss you and wish you and y
