What a week! Has it been a week? We don’t even know what day it is. 🤣
We spent last weekend running showers at evacuation sites. Monday we ran laundry at Milwaukie Laundry and showers at GracePointe. Which brings us to Wednesday, laundry night at QED! We served 56 neighbors, an all-time high, and distributed enough laundry kits to provide more than 3,000 pounds of clean laundry. We shared hygiene supplies, snacks and bottled water in the dense wildfire smoke. Our friend Anne with Clackamas County Go Teams came and visited with neighbors. We washed hands and gave out masks, offering smiles and kind words in abundance.
We came together as a community to navigate another difficult week and we made it through, a little more hopeful and a little more resilient.
