Over 24 families and 1,518 pounds of laundry!!!! Tonight was free laundry night at Carol's Coin-op in Molalla and let me just share with you how incredible the night was. First we have the absolute best volunteers ever and their love and hearts to serve leave me in awe every time. One of our newest volunteers was knitting hats while helping and immediately getting them onto the resource table. Another visited with some of our gentlemen that come in and they seemed to light up just speaking with him and having him listen to them. I am so grateful for each and every one of them and so impressed by new volunteers that came tonight and how each one just jumps in to help wherever needed.
We almost ran out of quarters and definitely ran out of time but even still so many people got served. Neighbors that were served tonight said things like "We want to volunteer as a big thank you for doing this you have no idea how much this helps us". A few moms with kids in tote learning what community looks like. Another gentleman shared with me that his day was good now thanks to us... that's our community guys! Thanks to each and every person who gives of their time, resources or financially to make LoveOne happen. You are the community I call home and thanks to you're incredible ways of giving these people are learning a better world where we genuinely care about one another and want to help bring hope and dignity through clean clothes.
Thank you Molalla and thank you to all LoveOne volunteers!
