Oregon City - December

The rain made Tuesday’s event pretty soggy, but that’s just all the more reason to show up and help neighbors wash and dry their clothes, bedding and sleeping bags.

161 neighbors received a myriad of resources thanks to the tireless efforts of 26 volunteers and several community partners (Cascade AIDS Project, Milwaukie Lutheran Church, Oregon City Soccer Club, Grocery Outlet, Clackamas County Behavioral Health Safe & Strong, Providence Better Outcomes Through Bridges, Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD).

One of the folks who came for laundry brought donuts, which she shared generously with others. It was a joy to watch faces light up and to hear the exchange of ensuing thanks.

A special thank you to Laundry Boss Jess for keeping the laundromat running smoothly and staying until everyone was safely on their way with clean, dry clothing.

Community. Kindness. Teamwork. We’re so thankful for the many individuals and organizations who support the work we do and choose to participate in the process of keeping people housed, helping unhoused folks transition into housing, and loving people through relationship and meeting basic needs. ❤
