Vaccination and outreach teams from Oregon Health Authority and Clackamas County Public Health joined us on Tuesday evening for our laundry+ event. More than 20 neighbors received vaccinations and 157 neighbors received help with laundry, hygiene supplies and more.
Chelsea from GLISS Milwaukie - General Labor & Industrial Staffing Solutions joined us and provided employment information to folks. Cascade Aids Project was on site providing testing and other health resources, and our favorite community paramedic Amy Jo Cook checked in with neighbors and provided basic first aid to an individual with a swollen hand.
We met a super cute doggo with painted nails, heard from one of the vaccinators that she was proposed to, shared a delicious hot meal thanks to OHA, celebrated the arrival of several housing vouchers, exchanged several pairs of worn out shoes for warm boots, and ended the evening feeling deeply grateful for all of our volunteers who make sure neighbors are served well at these events.
