Oregon City - November 30

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

Wednesday night’s laundry + shower event at BRAX Laundry was better than our senior prom! (jk except not really)

56 neighbors accessed laundry and showers, hygiene supplies, a hot meal, clothing and harm reduction services. We washed and dried roughly 3,000 pounds of laundry, met a new feline friend and helped a neighbor repair the zipper on his sleeping bag.

We were joined by the Providence BOB team who distributed cold weather survival gear, Oregon City Public Library Library Safety Specialist Garth Fullington, and a team from Oregon City Church of the Nazarene who ran showers for us. Brax owners Brad and Max were on-site to connect with neighbors and support laundry ops as well as donate several bags of washed and neatly folded clothing donations. Not to mention our LOOP (LoveOne Outreach Program) team was on hand to engage with folks and provide connections to additional resources.

We absolutely cannot (and wouldn’t want to) do this amazing work without the support and participation of our community! We feel so loved and supported by everyone who takes the time to volunteer, donate, refer neighbors in need to us and help spread the word about LoveOne.

LoveOne: One person, one family, one community at a time.
