Monday was laundry night at Milwaukie Laundry and we received an early Christmas present - the owners of Milwaukie Laundry made two of their washers free for our use all evening and had their on site staff available to assist us! We loved working with Maria.
Rockstar Abby and her husband provided a lasagna meal that was delicious and Soup Lady Kristi made hamburger soup, yeast rolls and coffee that warmed the belly and the soul. Another volunteer kept folks supplied with hot chocolate, and the rest of the team helped neighbors wash and dry a lot of laundry, shop for hygiene supplies and shelf stable food items. Great night, great event, and an even greater community.
