33 neighbors accessed services at last Monday’s LoveOne + GracePointe laundry night at Milwaukie Laundry. The weather was perfect, dinner was delicious and the doggos were all on their best behavior.
Dave and Alan kept things running smoothly in the laundromat while Kim, Pam, Kathryn, Heidi and Rob provided hygiene supplies, food and more out in the parking lot. Our Sunday Soupday Soup Lady Kristi stopped by to say hi and share the most delicious cookies (we are still thinking about them).
Our outreach team provided bus passes and other supplies, shared housing and medical care resources, and got to celebrate with a mom and daughter who are both in recovery. Mom had 134 days clean and daughter had 104 - we couldn’t be happier for them and we are so proud of all the hard work they are putting in to accomplish their goals.
We will be back at Milwaukie Laundry on Monday, October 10 at 6pm.
