Our QED event on Wednesday, August 16 was a scorcher and yet our faithful volunteers still showed up with smiles on their faces, ready to serve our neighbors. A huge thank you to Rotary Club of Milwaukie, Oregon for sponsoring the evening and bringing ice cold water.
Our fabulous kitchen wizards Carol and Ron brought a delicious pasta dish, cold watermelon and amazing snickerdoodle brownies. (They were so good we can't stop dreaming about them!)
We provided laundry for everyone who came through, woohoo!! Thank you as always to our lovely QED laundry owner and host Robert, and Integrated Health for their continued support and for sharing their space with us. Lastly, we want to give a huge shoutout to Earth Breeze for the generous donation of laundry detergennt strips. It smells amazing and is good for the environment as well. We did 32 loads of laundry and had 35 folks come though.
